Pasta chic is a thing. Curves are a war to maintain. Here are five galleries with instances of how we do it.
The first gallery contains three moments when we were getting ready for maintenance.
Piran: my mega summer chocolate cake. I know I promised the recipe. Coming up for sure. Ljubljana: Early Christmas at my parents’. I was born and raised here. Rome, Christmas proper: these are just some appetisers and sides. Amore’s late mother looks on approvingly.
The second gallery is of the curvy staircase in the Roman building where amore used to live. His father still lives there. Alas, it’s on the ground floor. All those stairs would be counterproductive to the curves.
With flash. Without flash. I repeated this trick now, six years after I first visited. The stylish staircase. He takes care of the plants.
Time for gaining more curves. The third gallery shows our new under-plate thingies which I carefully chose from the online multitudes. I love them!
There are six different ones, full of curvy circles. My favourite. Minestrone. Vegetables are good for you. And wine.
For New Year’s Eve, amore’s father was joining us so on the day before we made strudel, with apples, raisins soaked in Slovenian rum, and pine nuts. Gallery 4 shows the end product.
When I really love something, I take it out for a photo shoot. It was glazed over with egg, that’s why it appears burned on the surface. Inside was all well. Bestia is supportive.
The last gallery presents the first animal I saw in this year, unless I count my immediate pack. You know what they say: what you see is what you resemble…
Pasta chic is a thing. It’s just that I was under the impression… …that when she saw me she thought the same.

What a chocolate cake, and the staircase and that cat. Jesus.

Hehe, thanks, Bojana. I think the cat is pure breed and winter coat. I can’t say anything like that for me. 😀

Under table things are glorious, and your curvy neighbor is extremely handsome. I hope the Bestia got a bite of that photoshoot, though.

Hihi, thank you, Kara. I had to go back and check if I really wrote “under table”. 😀 The neighbour is all that, as for Bestia, his eyes are saying: “Aha! You made some fooood! Nothing ordinary so I don’t know if I’m gonna get some or not, my guess is not, but know that I’m here, yeah? Your dog? Favourite dog?”

Oh those stairs! Does this building have a lift? I doubt you look like that cat hair and all .. 🙄🙄🙄

Thank you, Perpetua, for stopping by! The building indeed has a lift. And you’re right, I’m nowhere near as gorgeous as this cat. 😉 (Got hair though!)

Thank you, Leya. 🙂 Oh yes, that was a yumm cake. I suspect this cat when wet looks completely skinny… it’s just the hair!

😀 Right, Tina! As I say, unfortunately their flat is on the ground floor. And there is a lift! I guess I should run up and down after every pasta. Hm… food for thought. 😀
