These doors are either chosen with love, equipped with a loved one or two, or simply lovely. Celebrate love, celebrate life, on all other days as much as today.
No matter that the dessert I made on occasion will be filed away as “But they said even kids can make it!” – I’m full of love. For my amore, my bestia, my sister, my parents, my blogging buddies right here and my real-life friends far away. And for doors, of course, on Thursdays even more.
Let’s have a look at mine and then, if you haven’t yet, check out Norm’s second part of Orvieto doors with the magnificent cathedral and certain co-enablers that will seem familiar.
Yay! You even found a few with hearts just in time for Valentine’s day. I already baked my sweetie a batch of cookies so all is good and mushy and romantic here. I hope you guys have a wonderful love-filled evening together too 🙂
Joooj, Norm, today I was thinking of you when I was preparing my dessert. No baking and therefore the cookies wouldn’t hold together! Quite disastrous but still tasty. 😉 We are good, but we are always good. Great to hear that you two are as well. Happy spring! It’s coming!
Thanks, SMSW! 🙂 Do you know this expression, Kiss and Ride? Is this common elsewhere too? This was next to the Termini station. That church and the outdoors concert venue next to it are pretty special.
Hehe, Brian, I’m glad to hear this. As I write these captions, I just let my words roll out as they wish. Even if they don’t make much sense to the majority, a caption like this can make the post for one person. Thanks for being this person. 🙂
You’ve created a lovely mood with your door selection and related captions. You have a knack for finding heart shapes. My favourite is the blue iron-grill door with the heart and flowers in the centre. It suggests ‘welcome’ to me … even if the flip-flops left in the middle of the doorway would make me grind my teeth 😉
Wonderful. Faves are definitely the patina “cross” door, the horizontal panel with the mums, and the one with the firewood crates. Really like your incorporation of love here 🙂
I will not ask you questions at the end of posts to trick you into commenting. So when you do it on your own, it's that more appreciated. Thank you! Cancel reply
I like them all, but the church is exceptional! Happy Valentines day Manja.

Impressive collection, well done. My photo blog is filling up too, so one of these days I’ll have to close it and move on I guess.

I like the door with the little heart peephole especially, as well as the church door. Great finds as usual.

All of these shots are lovely, but the “can’t steal the flip-flops” snap really hit my happy-quirky trigger… 😉
