Friendly Friday mood & Day 19: Abeceda

Today is the best day for having mood as the theme for Snow’s Friendly Friday challenge: I met a new friend and the mood was the best in months.

Challenge 19: “Write an abecedarian poem – a poem in which the word choice follows the words/order of the alphabet.”

I give you a double alphabet poem – that only starts out with my joyful mood but then turns into an invented written conversation – with the confession that I almost forgot Q and once I realised that X preceded Y in the alphabet, I had to change it all around. What? Not my alphabet, not my monkeys. We have č, š and ž instead. The title is Slovenian word for alphabet.

Abeceda

A bright, clear day:
 each fascinating gaze
 held immense joy.
 
Kid let mother near.
 Opening pores.  
 Quest ran smoothly  
 to universal victory.

 Warmly, 
xoxo,  
 yours, 
Zero.

Was very upset today.
 Seemed raw.  
 “Queen” - preposterous,  
 opera never-ending.
 Might lose kindergarten job.
 I hate getting fired.

And now to my today’s mood: There was sea, sun, towers, a new hill-town Gavorrano, with rows and rows of doors and doors, and finally, fascinating news that when Donna finishes my portrait, it is to be exhibited right here in Massa Marittima in Tuscany together with her other portraits. Filed under: I’d never believe if somebody told me. Thank you, Donna, for this great day.

  This is how it started. Might be quince.

  The first thing I saw after I parked. Today was still free, tomorrow the season starts.

  We climbed up to see if the view is better. Not quite like having a drone. There is an old Roman road submerged here and the island Elba in the distance.

  When we returned, the sea changed colour.

  In these parts it’s on the turquoise side.

  Then I went to explore a new town alone with bestia. Doesn’t happen often. Gavorrano.

  I finished with gelato by the stadium and this fountain in Grosseto. A most excellent day!
