To celebrate life and Snow’s twins, here is a joke, an R.E.M. cover and a collection of pairs who could or could not be twins.
Snow Melts Somewhere has her twins on her mind who will turn two this month so she names twins as the theme of her and Amanda’s Friendly Friday photo challenge. Try to imagine having two of each.
First a joke:
- Ahh, look at you. How cute you are! Mom has dressed you alike,
are you twins?
- Shut it, granny. Licence and registration!
Next, there is only one pair of twins in my broad family, as far as I know. They are cousins of my father. At my grandma’s funeral years ago one of them smiled broadly and told me proudly: “My son is the drummer in the group Elvis Jackson!”
I didn’t know it at the time but so he is. 🙂 Soki has made a name for himself not only for his wicked drumming skills – he recently started his drumming school – but also for his goal of providing musical instruments to Slovenian primary schools so that pupils can learn to play them. At least 111 schools already got an instrument thanks to him. Pretty impressive.
Here he is with Elvis Jackson and their wicked wicked cover of R.E.M.’s Losing My Religion, live. This is one of my favourite covers of all times.
And now certain pairs (and groups) of mostly living beings but also pieces of architecture that may or may not be twins, but never mind, as long as they look cute together. Some images have been chosen especially for Snow and her rock stars. Maybe she will show this to them one day.

Loved your twins. Same with my family. Hub and his sis and the only twins around.

Thank you, Scooj. 🙂 Am I mistaken that your dog is of a similar breed? (I might be wrong.)

Wrong, ours is a cocker spaniel (show).

That’s exactly right, Emma. 🙂 I take so many photos that I don’t have trouble to find twenty (or much more) to almost every subject.

Thank you, dear blogging twin, for these images 😀 And how many twins can a cow have – I’ll be thinking of that one all night! 😉 (The sheepdogs look like they have an inside gang, poor bestia!)

Hahhah, SMSW, if you think of an answer tell me! I’m glad you’ve enjoyed this post. Those dogs are luckily behind the fence but sometimes they escape! I’ve seen them roam free from a distance but there has not been a close encounter yet…

Of course I love the bunnies and other animals, but the windows in Porto Santo Stefano are pretty awesome, too!

I’m so glad to hear this, Markus. Danke! 🙂 The idea was given to us by a mother of real twins though. 😉
