July 2018

Here it is, the July post for my 2018 Calendar in the making, with twenty representative photos of what awaits me soon since I’m off to my country of origin for the rest of the summer.

It’s been high time too. I’m this close to liquifying (what’s more, liquidifying, which must be worse). It’s hot but this is not the worst, the worst is that the wind, even the slightest breeze, has been cancelled. Nothing moves.

The heat is such that I can’t even rejoice enough over my new PC that amore put together with such care and attention. ❤ But I can see already on my new big screen what a pretty blog I have. I had no idea. 😉

Which is my country of origin, you ask? The green piece of Europe on the sunny side of the Alps (as tourist slogans go) – Slovenia, with the capital Ljubljana – the Dragon City and the lovely Piran on the coast near Trieste. All this is where I spent last year’s July as well and here are 20 proofs.

  1. There are SO many good ones here, goodness. What a darling capture of the bathing suit on the wall. And I adore the reflection photo at the end – a delight. Anything with dragons is my favourite. I’m already in love with Piran, but had somehow missed the dragon connection in Ljubljana. It is certain that your homeland has a place on my To Visit Soon list. The pastries, the sun, the colours. It’s almost hard to believe all of that together is real.

    1. Ahh, I’m so glad my country is pressing your buttons, Crystal, slowly but surely. 😉 I just really wish to be present when you come over! It’s just that I’m usually here in the summer when it’s the worst time to visit: too hot and too crowded. I recommend April or May. October is nice too (but it can also be really wet and foggy). But if you wish to swim in the sea and lakes and rivers, it must be summer. Thank you for your praise!

    1. Thank you, Amy! 🙂 Ohh, on top of your list, wonderful! When can we expect you around here? 😉 I’m in Slovenia now but most of the time I’m in Italy. It would be a shame to miss you.
