While Slovenians watch Alpine Ski World Championships and Luka Dončić ruling the NBA, this Slovenian will watch the final Sanremo evening. It’s Saturday night in Tuscany.
I was spurred into thinking of what characteristics I’d take from both our nations.
What I take from the Italians:
Joy. Hedonism. Sense of style. Self worth. Love.
What I take from the Slovenians:
Humility. Common sense. Non-materialism. Order. Culture.
Another difference: on Slovenian national TV you can’t say cazzo. My favourite song from this year’s Sanremo: Daniele Silvestri – Argentovivo. (It will not win. The festival’s guest of honour is the Despacito Fonzie guy.)
ADD-IT: He came 6th. The winning song is called Soldi (“Money”). Nuff said.
My god. Sanremo. Brings so many memories.

Hehe, Bojana, imagine these memories + 20 years of wear on some performers. It’s all about televoting now, like Eurovision song contest. People gotta pay.

Total love and support (Italian way, sis)! We want more of it! :)) Viva la vida!

Heheh, thanks, Marina. Italian way with Slovenian undertones. Best of both worlds… As you do it too.

Thank you, Markus. I wrote this without much thinking, as it rolled out. Sometimes it’s best this way.
