Lens-Artists PC: Uniquely on point

Ours are on point times, unique times, so this post answers to two photo challenges with these two themes.

Here, first, the only possible song in connection with on point. It brings back the fun times of our trio in Vienna, culminating with the House of Pain gig in Arena. Tund-da tutudarrundda. Don’t stand so close to me cause.

The featured photo shows a tired dog at the end of the long weekend. But first, let’s see what I’ve been watching lately. First it was the Chernobyl series, then The Age of Stupid. I feel it, the close shave.

I want to tell you about it but not in such a way that would make you watch either or both immediately. Even though you should.

On point is where we should be.

The Chernobyl series showed what was and could be again, The Age of Stupid shows what is now. It was made ten years ago and the point of no return passed in 2015. I wish you happy eleven years before us.

(Oh, and there’s Leaving Neverland too, if you still feel cheery.)

I really need to get my happy groove back before it’s irreversibly lost.

A good attempt at it was this weekend in Rome when I co-owned a cat for the first time in my life. She is two months old, she is a super cat, and bestia had a three-day crash course to learn how to deal with a tiny cat. I worried over her, not him. He snapped at her a few times when she crossed his invisible boundary, especially before dinner.

Luckily I was only visiting. The cat stayed with his owner to the great delight of bestia who returned home with us. Which brings me to Judy who wrangles cats and dogs in Mexico as well. Lately she started a new photo challenge at her blog lifelessons. She leaves it open for the whole month. You still have a few days in June to get on point.

I don’t like to combine challenges but today I have to. Some busy days ahead. So this post is also for Lens-Artists challenge on the subject of unique. This weekend was unique because never before I wrangled a cat and a dog and there will never be the first again. It all ended well. We shall see in a month or two when the cat has grown how it goes when they see each other again.

Today’s gallery is full of photos from this weekend. I declare flowers unique things on point. Plus, there is a special set of utensils which I bought in Vienna long ago and keep carrying around. I have never seen such anywhere until I stumbled on some on Cee’s blog. And now that I’ve searched for Cee’s post, I can see in the comments that Judy says they have such utensils in Mexico as well. Small world. Blogging is fun. 🙂 Even though now I can see that my utensils are far from unique.

In other news, I have two queries:

• Why are there so many butterflies and moths this year? Is this unique or the new normal?
• Why are there more and more bloggers liking my comments elsewhere but never coming to my blog, or only randomly, and never commenting here? How can my comment “Oh, how fascinating!” have five likes?? Get a grip, people. And then one gets insulted when I ask him why he can’t blog like the normal people. I’d expose all of you but you’d only be getting the attention you crave.

Good. All this chatting has made me forget about the eleven years. But this is the point of this post. Spend them however you see fit. I plan to celebrate.
